Early in my career, I trained as a technical writer, even going as far as getting a certificate from the San Jose State University. A brief stint at Lotus Corp., before they got gobbled up by IBM saw me actually use some of the skills I had learned at school. Two lovely daughters and two moves across continents put an end to that soon. For a short while, I tried to combine my interests in music and writing, and thought I had landed my dream job at Induslive.com. Alas, all too soon it was another of the unheralded victims of the dot-com crash.

Luckily watching my two daughters grow and all the travel the family was doing continued to fuel my passion for writing. So have penned my share of first person essays and travel articles and had a good bit of them published in the papers ranging from the Deccan Herald, The Hindu, San Jose Mercury News and magazines in India and overseas. In these pages I have tried to garner as many of my published pieces as well as my (now defunct) blog at Sulekha.
